We know that learning in a classroom and having your competence tested via formal exams is not for everyone.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is aimed at those with health and safety responsibilities (eg. managers, supervisors and employee representatives) to enable them to discharge more effectively their organisational duties and functions in relation to Fire Safety.

The qualification involves 48 hours of learning study and preparation (although this figure will depend upon experience).

(plus £200 NEBOSH registration and exam fees)
The course takes your Fire Safety and Risk Management knowledge to a higher level, helping you effectively manage and advise on risks in the workplace. It will advance your skills as a health and safety practitioner and increase confidence in your abilities. In addition, the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management enables candidates to apply to the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) for technician grade membership.
There are examinations comprising two written theory papers (Papers NGC1 and FC1) each lasting 2 hours to be completed on the examination day, and a practical assessment (FC2). The practical assessment involves undertaking a fire safety inspection of a workplace and preparing a management report.
We have exam centres throughout the UK, and around the Globe (At British Council HQ’s). So should not struggle to find an examination location too far from you. Let us know and we will try and find a location close to where you wish to take the exams.
The flexibility of this qualification allows you to complete it in a time period to suit candidates. However, candidates must complete the online course within 6 months of registration. The qualification involves a 61 hours of learning study and preparation (although this figure will depend upon experience).
You will be assigned a designated Diploma Tutor who will monitor your progress throughout your learning. They will provide you with an induction, and they will mark your completed assignments and provide feedback, and will respond to your questions and queries when necessary.We will do our very best to ensure you are well prepared for gaining the qualification.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however, it would be advisable for candidates to already hold a health and safety qualification such as the IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
